Ecological transition

Ecological transition, in order to align regional policies with the 2030 Agenda and the strategic goals of the European Union, in particular the Green Deal and the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

This macro-area includes, for instance, the following activities: assisting businesses and the agricultural sector in the ecological transition; promoting green supply chains and a circular economy; protecting natural resources and the environmental heritage; investing in sustainable tourism; and developing intermodal transport (with a special focus on logistics centres, intermodal centres and rail and water freight transport), integrated logistics and sustainable mobility. All these measures are to be implemented also through relations, partnerships and exchanges with other Regions and areas in Europe and around the world.
